Hey guys Yesterday I finally got in all my protein and all my liquids!!Doin the Happy I bought every flavor of Isopure which is a liquid protein figuring it is 40 grams I only need 59 it should be great...ewwww not!! The isopure sucks big time the only flavor that is tolerable to me is the icy orange and I have added it to my water so at least I am getting protein and my liquids.... Today is 1 week post op and I am feeling really good... I am down 15 since consult and 10 since Surgery according to my scales.. But I will know for sure on MOnday when I see dr Kam for 2 week Post op. So back to the protein issue... The Profect 3 oz test tubes of protein so far are gross.. the have 42 grams in them but I bought a mixed case so I am not throwing them out I will add them into a fruit smoothie as my protein and that should be good. LOL Eww Gross... Also the stacker Protein water each flavor to me is gross tooo.... Yesterday I picked up Strawberry protein and Vanilla so I can use juices and fruits and they have been pretty yummy. so no real issues Just wanted to share with ya all!! Hope everyone is having a great day!! ciao ELisa

Elisa; Try looking for a Non Flavored Protein Powder. You can mix it with anything and you won't taste it. Just make sure you get it mixed in and you won't even know it's there. Good Luck with your protein!!

Hi Elisa, I have been using the IDS new whey liquid protein, 42 gr tube. I have tried the orange and fruit punch and found them easy to mix with other things and they're pretty tasty. I would recommend them highly. My dr said that using half of one at a time is sufficient because of how much protein we can digest, so I mix half of a tube with about 4 ounces of juice and a little water. The orange I mix pretty much with only the lite OJ, but the fruit punch mixes well with just about everything. I add the water because they're a little sweet. And they are only about 176 calories each. I did buy the unflavored powdered whey isolate protein, but it gives liquids a kind of cloudy milkiness, sort of like adding milk to juice. Not my favorite so far. The company that I bought from also makes a chicken broth protein that is so-so. I put it in with another soup and it was okay. Good luck! Donna

congrats on the protein! that is a major accomplishment. I use several types of protein, mostly chocolate flavors. Matrix is my favorite. Kind of tastes like chocolate cake batter to me. Just try them out and see which you like. I must agree about the Profect. Ugh they are bad, lol. Keep up the good work!

I personally use the Syntrax Nectar. It has 90 calories and 23 grams of protein per scoop. I put it in 16 oz of water and you might add a pack or two of sweetner (like Splenda). They have many different flavors and you should be able to get it at the Vitamin Shoppe.
