Head hunger??
For the first three or four months, I was eating on a schedule and never felt true stomach hunger. That doesn't mean I didn't feel hungry, but I knew it wasn't something to acknowledge. I was told that was because of the surgery, no real hunger.
At ten months out, I know when it is time to eat and eagerly fix a plate, but I still don't really feel hungry. Not the old, "I'm starving, I'll eat anything hungry," anyway.
So, I would say that if you are eating (okay, maybe still on liquids, but think of it as eating) as you were instructed, any hunger you experience is head hunger. Strange what old habits will do.
at your point, you can't get enough nutrients so if you're hungry eat. just make sure it's almost pure protein and something your pouch can tolerate. if you're full and still hungry, you'll know it's head hunger.
i was the exception to the rule when a newbie, i was always hungry, but it was head hunger.
one thing that worked for me was if i looked at my protein shake and wasn't hungry but then looked at (or thought of) something that was carbs and then felt hungry... it was head hunger.

I guess you can't edit your responses in this forum. Anyway, that is the link to the head hunger post on the main board. Good info!
