Hi Everyone
Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I posted here. I am now 16 months post op and have done awesome. I have lost a total of 247 pounds went from a 64 inch waist to a 38 inch waist and lowered my BMI from 62 to 35. I can't beleive what this surgery has done for me. However, I do have one question now that I am this far out and can eat almost normal again. I find the food is talking again. I am controlling it now and journal my thoughts before I eat and that helps. Has anyone else had this happen and what have you done to help with that. I am in no way going to go back to the way I was I am just wondering as it is a little scary.
Thanks
Trent

Hi Trent,
I am 17 month's out and understand exactly what you are talking about. I am having a terrible time with this. I gained 10 pounds and said enough is enough! I refuse to gain my weight back two pounds at a time. I talked with my nutritionist. She sent me to sparkpeople.com. It helps a lot more than other sites I've been to. I attend as many support group meetings as I can. I started exercising daily, and went back to measuring and weighing everything I eat ~every little bite counts. I also write down on paper and on line everything that goes into my mouth. The last time I weighed myself (about a week ago) I was down 3 pounds. I'm still having trouble with the head hunger, and wanting to overeat. Sometimes I can talk myself out of turning to food for whatever it is that is making me want to eat, sometimes I give in. The bottom line is if I want to keep the weight off (I do) then I have to make myself stick with the program (I am). This has gotten very hard (at least for me). You have come way too far to turn around and go back to where you came from. You can do this I know you can ~and so can I. Best wishes to you Trent.
God bless you,
Annette
