Looking to have Lap Band surgry at Covent in Saginaw

I am going a informational meeting on April 17. I normally am not one to look for help on things, but I have failed at losing weight for over 20 years. I am ready to make the changes to get it done, any support will be appreciated.

Do the research on both...I had the lap band...the band and I failed...The band was removed and had the RNY...Down 130 and will be at my 1 year may 25 th. I had to learn the hard way. Maria

Make sure you get all the info there at covenant..... there program is in the infancy stages... how much experience does the surgeon have and what about the team members ? have they even done any there yet?? What kind of support do they have?

Wow I didn't think they where ready yet! They are moving along nicely. Are they able to except insurance for it yet? As another poster mentioned Do your research. It is sooo important. There are several programs and surgery types out there, This is one of the best places on the web for good information, the pros and the cons. I am sure you will do great.
