constipation - how to drink more water
everyone's different, i'm just saying be careful. i doubt the benefits of blackstrap molasses, i'm anxious to try it myself.
if diabetics take it with no problem, than probably it's very low on the glycemic scale (meaning the carbs in it are absorbed very slowly) and won't cause dumping, i'd still go slow as a noob. when i was a newbie even fructose made me dump, a few sips of juice were enough to put me over the edge.
Another idea is to try SF Fiber Choice tablets. My nutritionist suggested them. You can chew two tablets a day and they may help you stay regular. You don't have to drink lots of water at the same time you take them but of course, all the water you can get will be helpful. I have used these since right after my surgery almost 2 years ago.

i tried those but switched to fiber one cereal, 1/2 cup had more than four times more fiber than two of those tablets. and tasted better.
still not working for me though although my situation is pretty different, i'm being treated for chronic pain which has led to chronic constipation.
i just started taking Amitiza. it's supposed to be very effective with little risk or side effects. i'll let y'all know how it works. but it's only for chronic constipation, not occasional.
