I'm in the early stages for a lapband. I was at mmpc in Grand Rapids Mi on 4/16 My big question is the pre and post op diets and the cost. I was given the impression that you must use the MMPC supplement on you will not be help?????

MMPC should have given you a price sheet that had the rates for the lapband (not including surgery). These rates include the psych eval, nutritionist and yes, the food. They want you to use their supplements because they are confident that they will and have worked for the many who have gone through their procedures. The food isn't that bad (I especially loved the protein bars and ready made shakes). I think last year the price for the lap band without surgery was $859 and the RNY was $550. Call them and they can send you the price sheet.
