Dr Wagner @ Hurley, Flint (reviews?)
HI!!
well i have some exciting news, everyone. i will have a date once they've recieved the fax that i completed the 8 therapy sessions that the dr. who did my psyc. eval recommended. i spoke with them earlier today, she said she had my approval letter right there and they are scheduling surgeries for may 14th!
however, as some of you may know, Dr. Obied had a "family emergency." and isnt doing any surgeries, so i'm now having my surgery with dr. Wagner, probably on the 21st due to my own family arrangments.
i've never met dr wagner. has anyone had surgery with him? please tell me what he's like and how your surgery went.
i cant believe i'm getting my surgery, and so soon!
life is good. God is good.
thankyou.
Hello Sarah,
I had surgery with Dr Wagner on Feb 5th of this year! He made me feel very comfortable; as well as my family. I think you will be in very good hands. I had a few complications, but nothing to do with Dr Wagner.. I had a couple wound infections; and then I developed an ulcer and a stricture. I would stll do the surgery again in a heartbeat. I lost 27 lbs before my surgery; and since then my total is 62 lbs. I am now off my b.p. meds., have a much lower dose of diabetes meds. , a lot less aches and pains and pain meds. I feel I can look forward to life now; instead of always looking behind me for things to catch up to me! Best wishes to you on your future sucess. Sincerely, Judy R.
Hello and good luck on your upcoming surgery!
I was also supposed to see Dr. Obeid, but I gues he *still* isn't back? Anyhoos, I had a consultation with Dr. Wagner last month and I was *very* impressed! My appointment was at 12:30pm, which I know usually in a surgeon's office means about 1:30 or 2:00pm. Unfortunately due to cir****tances beyond his control (OR in the morning), I didn't see Dr. Wagner until almost 4:00pm!!!! So be prepared for a wait!
I have been in medicine myself for almost 15 years and I really put him through the wringer with all of my questions. I must have had 30. I asked things like what is his personal complication rate, what is his band slippage rate (I'm having LapBand, not RNY), how many surgeries has he done? How many RNY, how many LapBands, who trained him on banding, is he Allergan approved to place the band? Stuff like that. He never looked nervous nor wriggled once. He answered all of my questions point blank and I was very very impressed with his knowledge.
I think you will be very happy!
