Hello all my question is has anyone used Dr. Donald Scholten of Grand Rapids Mi. I will have a appointment with on the 3rd of May He only preforms the bi pass type of surgery. Thanks to anyone that can help

Hi ..I have not used Dr. Scholen.I'm sure he is probably great.Just in case things don't go your way, there is a Dr. Kluck in Grand Rapids/Muskegon area that a friend of mine used. He has a web page called "weighok.com".Had I been in the area, I would have chose him as my surgeon.He has nothing but excellent reviews.Good luck to you.

I had Dr Scholten for my surgury. He's a nice guy, talented surgeon. I had no problem with his skills, but his post op care sucks. He doesn't provide post op care. You go in to the appt just to get weighed. His office does not deal with post op problems you have. 18 mo out I'm basicly doing fine but still have a couple of issues that should be addressed and he won't even talk to me about them. I'm heading for my pcp next week to work on them. wont be seeing the surgeon again

I had Dr Vanderkolk and Scholten do a revision on my surgery and I have had no problems since. They saved my life and I am happy with my results. Tricia
