Started Purees this week and nervous!!!

I started purees slowly this week but really got into it yesterday and today. I am nervous I am going to gain weight.... I was really happy on the liquid diet.... I ate today: B- 1 yogurt some coffee S- Before the gym 2 oz of Salmon mixed with fat free miracle whip L- same as snack S- SF pudding D- 1 tbsp avocado, 1/2 potatoe all day I drank 1 700 ml bottle of juice water and Profect, 2 more bottles of the same but @ 500 ml ea so I had my 42 g of protein and now I am drinking a 500 ml bottle of water....so I think I am ok but I don't know...... On the scale this morning I was not down I was wavering between staying the same as yesterday and up 1/2 a pound.... I started back at the gym today but I am stilll really nervous.... I want to keep on losing I just hope I am doing the right things..... Maybe I should call the Nutritionist at Barix to confirm?? or is this a normal reaction?? I feel like it sounds like a lot of food but is it??? I am so worried!!! Please help... any advice will be appreciated... Elisa 253/230/125

Hey Baby !!!!!! Sounds like your doing great but for me personally I'm staying away from the scales right now and just working on getting fluids, protein, and exercise in I am going by the way that my clothes fit me and the way I feel ...I know I have a lot more energy if I start my morning out with a protein shake I'm supposed to get 65 gm protein in and I try to shoot for more so I'm any where between 75 and 100 I do two protein shakes a day and then 4 sm meals(snacks) I'm watching good carbs and bad carbs and staying away from the bad. Keep Positive...and make good life style changes that you can live with !!!! Jenny B Wise

I always weigh after I first get up after using the restroom. And I am always as naked as I can be. Also you need to remember that sometimes we carry water weight for various reasons. I vary from day to day and during my cycle it is always different. You have to think about these reasons as well. If you get on the scale everyday you will be freaking yourself out. I used to weigh every other day and now I weigh a couple of times a week only. Suzanne

I t sounds like your doing good to me ...so your not having any problems with food ? are you hungry at all ? Sherry

Hey Sherry So far so good everything is pureed so no issues... which is a relief. I do get a bit hungry but nothing crazy... I am not starving per se. Just worried about weight gain.. I can be a bit neurotic though...LOL

Hello Elisa, You are doing great, keep up the good work. Try and only weigh yourself once a week in the morning. I know it is a hard thing to do... but seeing a greater amount of weight loss at a time feels so much better. When I 1st had surgery I also got on scale everyday, than I listen to the doc and weighed in 1 time a week. Wow i was so excited for that 1 day and to see the weight loss. I think we all get worried we are going to gain weight if we start eating, but that won't happen at this point. You will do great, good luck to you. DeAnn

Sounds like your doing great. Keep up with the protein and water.. Also watch out for the potatos. Keep up the good work !!!! Dennis
