Wow, fast approval.
Well, I am shocked. I asked Dr. Kole's office to submit my paperwork to Messa BCBS Supercare 1 last week , even though I was still waiting for paperwork to document a medical supervised diet. The paperwork was faxed on last Friday the 13th. I called on Monday to see if it was received. I talked to a very pleasant woman who told me to call back at the end of the week because it wouldn't show up at all for a couple days because it had to be scanned into a document first. She told me if I call back she would try to hurry it through for me. She said she might be able to get it to someone who could turn it around in 2-3 weeks instead of the 45 day which I expected based on the dr. office. Well, I called to check to make sure it was received today Friday the 20th. I had stupidly forgot to write down the nice lady whom I had talked to before but I was in luck anyway. The wonderful woman i spoke to told me that my paperwork had been scanned that very day, not even a hour before. Mind you, I was excited about that. I thanked her and asked what are the chances of me getting an answer in 2 weeks. she said that she was a preapproval reviewer and she would take a look at it. I thanked her again and asked asked her what does it mean? what the next set to get surgery approval. She laughed and said that it. You are approved. She told me I would have a letter in less than a week because she was sending it out as we speak. I asked her for her name. Jacquie Wallick. the fastest approver in the Northwest. Wow, I can't believe it, I only have had this insurance for 2 months. my union found tooth and nail to keep it in this year contract neg. I am glad they did.

Congratulations!!! I have MESSA too and was just approved (and very quickly I might add). I was shocked too. Yeah for us!! MESSA doesn't require documentation of a medically supervised diet. They're, as far as I know, the only insurance company in Michigan that doesn't. I'm excited for you!
