Well, Gang! April 27 is only a couple of days away. I am excited, yet concerned, as this is my first surgery. Mortified about having a catheter; however, others have had one before me, so I guess I will just roll with the punches. I have been on a six week fast. So far I am down about 43 lbs. I look forward to losing the last 200 lbs over time. I do crave food, but am doing fine. Just thought I would type something... Mark

Mark 43 pounds is great! Not only that, but you're preparing your body for major surgery and an easier recovery. Where are you having your surgery? I know the nerves are kicking in, but believe me, you won't regret it. Stay busy the next week and keep your mind off of things. Let us know if you need anything. Stay in touch Hugs Linda

Thanks Linda for the great support! My surgery is with Dr. Foote at MMPC. He and Todd will be slicing and dicing.... I do look forward to it, though...As it is time that I take back some control over something that I lost a couple of years ago.

Best of luck Mark! This is the best gift you will ever give yourself. You will do great! And yes, the cath is put in after you are out. And I don't even remember them taking it out. Keep us posted! Theresa
