Coral, I don't but my dad does and had has it for years. The only thing that helps him is Prednisone and to stay out of the cold weather. The cold constricts his lungs and he can't breath. Hope u are seeing a good Pulmonary doctor, if u have any questions please email at the address below. Best of luck Robin [email protected]

That is a possible diagnosis for what ails me. I think is is the ultimate in irony as every improvement in my health from the wls will be negated by treatment for sacroidosis. Blood pressure is expected to go back up, weight will increase, diabetes will come back, arthritis will be back. And, if that turns out to be my problem, the nay-sayers will rejoice in my regain. I won't discuss illness with them, I no longer consider them friends but I don't want to hear the chorus of I-Told-You-Sos. So, die from Sac. or die from fat. Wonderful choices. I'm sorry to vent here, I was sick before surgery, had two incidents that were blamed on my weight and have had three since surgery. No one seemed to think wls made it better or worse. But before surgery, my pcp and cardiologist were sure that wls would cure me of anything. I don't have a final diagnosis yet, but based on the side effects of treatment for Sac, i don't know that wls would be effective.

sarcoid? i had a horrible bout with it in 1983---and then it tried to come back in about 1985 or 86. i shouldn't think it should stop surgery so long as you get pulmonary clearance...... interesting.....i am from michigan originally....my sarcoid flared after 30 years in ohio- they said at the time that they didn't know what caused it but some garbage about the pine trees in georgia...now i wonder if it's a michigan thing????? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
