Seriously I did not weigh myself for 4 days and I decided Monday will be my weigh in day.. and Nada did not budge on the scale..... OK I just don't get it! I am 3 weeks post op tomorrow and Have stopped losing weight once I started on Purees. I have 1 week left on purees and then onto soft foods for a week and then onto solids. A typical day for me is: B- 1 egg boiled or protein shake or protein pudding S- Protein in water L- Tuna, Salmon salad with FF mayo or hummos 2-3 oz( or just protein with water) S- SF popsicle or jello or pudding D- ground meat, or chicken 2-3 oz( purees w/ FF sour cream /lo fat cheese sprinkle) S-SF popsicle or Jello or Pudding Have had maybe 1 full potatoe this whole week and 1/2 of a aweet potatoe instead of meats..... All day I drink a 42 g(protein) Profect in 64 oz of water mixed with juice(100% no sugar added or Crystal light) I take my bugs bunny vites 2x a day too.... My energy level is back to normal too. I excercise every day at first just light walking and after my 2 week post op I started back at the gym on Thursday past with cardio and weight training been 1x for weights and 1x for cardio as I am returning to my 2x a week wt and 3-5 days cardio this week and then hopefully next week 5 days cardio as well as 2 days weights.... So, Someone please tell me what I am doing wrong!! Or do I have to just ride this out??? I am getting very frustrated. Thnx!!! Elisa 253/230/125

Dont panic-it is only 3 weeks out!! Its normal- you will keep losing...gotta be patient and make sure u get in protein and lots of fluids....this weight didnt come on your body in 3 weeks.takes time. The tool works....it is too early for you to be worrying at only 3 weeks out. I am almost 2.5 yrs out and still losing....so take one day at a time and pretty soon you will be posting "Ive lost 100 lbs!!! Keep up the good work !! SHannon Ps sometimes you lose inches besides the number on the scale....measure yourself.

Elisa Sounds like your doing fine with the food. I have had the same problem of not dropping pounds,, but I was losing inches. On the weeks the pounds dont drop measure the body and see if your getting smaller. Keep your chin up and the results will come. Good luck Dennis

You just had major surgery and your body is trying to figure out what is happening.....Its playing catch-up to all the changes inside. Don't worry you will start losing again....For me I stalled about 3 weeks out and then lost several pounds...Then I stalled again and lost again...Been that way with me ever since....So stop fretting and you will see the pounds melt away soon enough!!! Also measure!!!! You will be dropping inches like crazy too!!!! Hang in there...Its a wild ride!!!! Hugs Judy

Hi Elisa! The others are right, although I know it's hard to hear. Your body is trying to figure out what the heck is going on. You aren't eating nearly as much as pre-surgery...you're eating much healthier than ever, etc. It's the body's mechanics that want to hold on to that fat for dear life...literally. Once it figures out that this is it...this is how your new eating will be, it will start melting off at record speeds!! Alot of people at this point think, "Gosh, I started eating pureed food and look!...I'm not losing anymore!, so I'd better not eat as much!" Don't do that. In reality, the more you stay on track and eat/drink the proteins and things you should, it will trick the body into thinking, "Oh good, they are feeding me after all" and start burning off the fat. It's just the way it is. As they always say, it takes fuel to keep the fire burning. Same with weight loss. Hang in there....I PROMISE YOU the weight loss will pick up, and in about a week you will be posting, "Hey, I lost 6 pounds overnight!!!" Stuff like that happens all the time! I lost my first 100 lbs in 8 months! Enjoy it! It will melt away in no time! Best of luck and keep us posted!!! Hugs, Theresa

Not to worry, that happened to me as well. I am 4 years out and I am still losing, SLOW but I am losing. I sometimes go for months and months without losing anything. I know its hard but keep doing what u are doing. It has to come off! Robin

Hi Elisa, You are not doing anything wroung. Just like the others are saying......... you just had surgery, your body is trying to figure out what's going on. You may not have lost today but tomorrow you may lose 5 pounds. Take 1 day at a time, you will lose . I too was freaked out in the beginning when weight wasn't coming off, but bam it started. You will have times you will stall on your weight loss , just are bodies trying to catch up with everything. Sit back and enjoy the ride, it will be a great one. Take care, DeAnn 262/158/140

elisa.......first relax and try to stay away from the scale.........being a scale addict i know how hard that is......but try to change the behavior now.............you will have periods were you lose and then plateau......that is a good thing......it means your body is adjusting etc.........so your job is to stay focused on task just like you are doing ...........whatever you do dont start cutting back on your intake which is such a common choice.........because you want you body to know it is going to be fed routinely..........--you may want to alter your exercise routine to start a boost........and limit carbs with more intense protein for a little jump start........but ideally your body will kick back in when it is sure it is going to be taken care of.............remember our systems are so out of whack with all of the yo yoing that we have done.....that when it perceives it it is losing weight it is afraid it wont be fed.......and it shuts down a little bit to preserve things...............so keep getting your protein.......make sure you start the day with strong protein-----------drink and walk and keep on keeping on.......you are doing just great.......and stay away from the scales.......you are going to be successful...............just stay focused!!!!!!!!!!! hug rae
