Hello everyone from Michigan, I usually frequent the main board. Even though I am from Canada, I had my surgery done at the Barix in Ypsilanti, Dr. Kam is the best thing since sliced bread. I alway shop in and around the area, could any of you tell me about second hand stores, I get all my clothes at these places and I love the adventure of second hand stores, its like going back in time. I know of one on Ecorse near Monroe and there is another one on Eureka near Dix, I think the Eureka one is a salvation army. I would like to head the other direction like Sterling Heights and Grosse Pointe Woods, really any where that is with in 30 miles of the bridge. Thanks so much and take care. Catherine

there are a couple in Grosse Pointe and the Shores. I'd have to look them up. There are 3 Thrift stores on Gratiot at 15 mile road, two in one shopping center. Salvation Army store in Sterling Heights on Maple Lane (Hoover) above 15 Mile. Jeanne

Wow, thanks so much, if you could just get me a phone number that would suffice. I love shopping in those kind of stores, hec the stuff I get is practically brand new. My mom can't get over the things I buy. I need to do a summer wardrobe and I am gonna go maybe this Saturday. Or the following week, I'll wait til the following week so you will have enough time to get those numbers,or addresses which is ever easier and again thankyou so much. Hope to see ya at the convention. I can't wait. Catherine

there's a HUGE Salvation Army store with fitting rooms and everything in Sterling Heights, it's at 35170 Dodge Park Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312. Sometimes you can get some really awesome stuff there. There's a Value World in Madison Heights at 11mile and Dequindre that's okay and a cool little second hand store called Plato's Closet at 32105 John R Road (near the Target and next to Payless Shoes.)

That sounds wonderful, I am going to be having a pleasure over load going to all these places. Since I lost all my weight I can't ever think of paying retail. When I was 300 pounds I had to pay top dollar for the tents I use to wear. Not any more, this girls booty goes into a a size 8. It sure is wonderful having only one a$$ where as 2 years ago, I had 3 of them. Thanks so much and take care. Hope to see ya at the Detroit Convention, I have never been to one before and it'll be great meeting the people on line that I have laughed with, talked with and even had heated arguments with. Catherine.. thanks

I can't think of any reason to go, the speakers don't really have anything for me this time and as much as i'd like to meet people I can't see giving OH my money when i'm not interested in the speeches. Is there anything else going on there? I wi**** was just a ****tail party! Then i'd go for sure. lol. We should all just meet up for a Tiger's game instead!

Oh did't know you had been to one of these already. I only know what I have read. Being that I am from Canada, and I never went anywhere, I mean no where when I was 300 pounds this is huge for me. Hec, you guys should just go to see kittle ole.... "ME" I don't have 3 a$$ anymore, I only have one, lol. I really hope that we can buy some of the Achieve drinks, ordering them is so blasted expensive. Hey, but I totally understand your reasons, I am going to try to see if some other sponsors can be there, like protein powder ones. Oh, well if you change you mind that will be great. Have a wonderful day. Catherine

There is a Salvation Army store in Utica on Van Dyke @ Hahn, about 1/2 mile north of Hall Road. Also, there is another Salvation Army store on Gratiot @ 15 Mile Road in that huge shopping center located in Clinton Township....
