hernia and tt

my drs. give a tt if you get a hernia. they still have some weight to loose i don't know if i can hold off for the hernia does anyone know if dr. will still do tt or know anyone that has had this problem and still got the tt?

You mean they do the tt for free with the hernia repair? Most insurances won't cover costs anymore just for a hernia repair. If you still have a lot of weight to lose, you will probably have loose skin again after a tt if you do it too soon. I just had mine and have some loose skin after dropping a few pounds from water weight in the hospital. I waited to do my hernias for a year to be close to goal. You need to check with your surgeon on whether they can wait or not. Some are not as dangerous as others and can wait with monitoring. Wendy
