I know it's time to eat when.......

Hi Everyone, We all have triggers that tell us when it's time to eat. How do you know when it's time for you to sit down and eat? For me it's when I find myself looking through the cupboards, and I take a bite of this or a bite of that. Now that I know what to look for it makes it easier to stop myself from nibbling and fix myself something healthy to eat. Finding my trigger helps me to stay on track. So what's your "It's time for me to eat trigger"? God bless, Annette

I know it is time to eat when I feel slow..dragging or start shaking..lol I try to eat a little something every 3-4 hrs...try I said Shannon

when I get shakey I know it's time to check my blood sugar levels. They usually have droppd into the low 70's or high 60's by then, so I have to suck on a life saver or nips or some kind of candy : ( I don't like candy anymore. Never thought I would hear myself say that! God bless, Annette

Quite simply, for me its when I get hungry, and I haven't eaten in a couple of hours. My nutritionist wants me to eat something small every 2 hours. I have to say that I don't do that for the most part.

Not much triggers my hunger yet....I know it will be soon from what they told me so I am being careful as to eat every 4-5 hours so the hunger doesn't get to me. (and all these food commercials have got to stop...LOL) Hugs Judy

Hi Judy, 4 to 5 hours betwen meals? That seems like a long time. I was doing that, but my nut said I had to eat more often. Every 2.5 to 3 hours. I started doing that, and started losing weight again (I stopped losing in November). It appears that my calories were just way to low. Now that I've just about doubled them, the scale is going down God bless, Annette

Usually I'll get hunger pains that let me know...but not always. Sometimes, I get REALLY moody and then I stop to think how long it's been since I've eaten.
