My question is when I went to buy SF fudge bars - they only had what they called " No sugar added" they were not sugar free they are like 3 or 4 grams or sugar. Do you think this is OK to have pre-and post-op? I am having surgery Friday and I am getting sick of the regular sf popsicles. Also what is a good brand of sf/ff pudding - does it have to be sf/and ff? Thaks for advice! Melody

No sugar added is fine. I just make sure to stay under 5 grams of sugar. A lot of store sell different kinds of sugar free or no sugar added ice cream and popsicles. Farmer jack has sugar free bomb pops, which are my favorite. I don't buy ff anything, it usually has more sugar than the regular. The hunts no sugar added pudding was the one i liked, it tastes like regular pudding. I don't like the Kraft and didn't try the instant jello pudding. Good luck on Friday Hugs Linda

As you begin looking for more and more things to eat without a lot of sugar, you will find "no sugar added". I believe this is a legality, because the food does have natural sugars, so technically it's not sugar free. Linda is totally right about ff usually having a lot of sugar in it. Stay under the 5 grams and be careful of sugar alcohols. There are a lot of candies and treats that say sugar free and they have a lot of sugar alcohols, which can mess with your tummy and a lot of fat to make up for the sugar. PS-beware of the jello brand instant cheesecake flavored pudding. It tasted like chemicals to me! There are some good protein fortified puddings at places like vitamin shoppe.
