What to expect? Are they just looking to see you are prepared for the changes in your lifestyle & eating habits, coping skills, family support etc?? I'm just thinking common sense here but not really sure what else to expect. Sorry if this is a old topic, it's new to me and things are moving along quickly! Thanks, -Sara

In my experience, he wanted to know that I knew about the surgery and it's complications, would follow the diet post-op, and didn't have an underlying mental health issue that needed to be treated before surgery. Good luck it'll be a piece of cake...or maybe a protein shake!

Hi Sara, I had mine last week. As Liane said they want to be sure you understand what they will be doing to your body and what changes you will have to make in your lifestyle. They do a few cognitive tests to see how your mind works (ie if you have a rotten memory pre-surgery and are the same post-surgery there's no problem.. if you are fine now and can't remember a thing later they have to investigate). They want to make sure you understand how the changes will effect all the people close to you etc. It really was easy and reassured me that I am making the right decision! Good luck.
