Two GREAT THINGS this week!!
Hey everyone!!!
Two great things happened this week!!!
FIRST.....
I called Hurley to see if they had figured out if I had enough diet documentation and they said YES!!!!!!!! I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEN:
I went to see my endocrinologist today and talked to him about RNY surgery see if he would sign my Medical Clearance and Recommendation and he said...HE WOULD - THAT HE WOULD HELP ME......THAT HE KNOWS THE DOCTORS AT HURLEY AND THAT THEIR CLINIC IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. My pcp doctor did not want to sign my medical clearance but my OTHER DOCTOR DID!!!! It sure is nice to hear a doctor agree with your problems and how life threatening they are!!!!!!
I am SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE DR. LAMBERT!!!!! HE IS MY HERO!!!!!
Now I can move on.....Next the eval.....then to the insurance company......maybe I'll be on the table this summer!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Cindy,
Best of luck to you! Hurley does have a good program; I had my RNY on Feb 5th with Dr Wagner. They are all very supportive. I had a couple complications but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Maybe we will see you at the Hurley Bariatric ball next year!
I have lost 40 lbs since my surgery; but I lost 27 before, so I am down 67 lbs now. It is no easy solution like some think. Surround yourself with only postive people; and do not let other's give you thier negative opinions. I already cut and colored my hair; and have people who have not seen me in a while not recognizing me..LOL! Feel free to ask any ?'s you may have I will do my best to answer if I can. You are on your way to a new life. The best things for me are: no more b.p. meds, cut down to 1/4 of diabetes meds already, and a whole lot less aches and pains! It is definately worth it. Sincerely, Judy R.
I am hoping that the people we work with will not really find out about me until after I am approved....You know how they like to talk and make problems. I don't need their "negative comments" because they "lack knowledge". Most of them will just be jealous. I am told by others who have had wls that alot of your coworkers will not understand. It is gonna be our job to educate them!!!!!!!! Whether they like it or not!!!
Look at Jan....we didn't know she has 2 people in her family that has had some type of wls til you mentioned your quest to her!! There may be others out there or even better.....our success may inspire others to pursue or help a relative. I consider Phyllis, Judy and Marie to be PIONEERS!!!!!! Sorta like the WLS PRESIDENTS!! When we are successful let us not forget others who want to follow in OUR footsteps and remember to help them as we have been helped. I am sure there are others out there but these three ladies are truly our ANGELS!!!
