How long did it take?

For your insurace to approve you once you got the letter from your PCP? I have BCBS PPO, and have my appt with my PCP on 5/15 for approval letter and EKG, then I also have to have a psych eval. After that I am hoping it doesn't take too long to get an aproval from BCBS. What do you think? I am sure this is a common question, and gets a bit old, sorry.

I am sure everyone has different time tables, but I have BCBS, & lucky for me, from start to fini**** took me 3 wks !! First consultation, then psych, approval letter then EKG & bloodwork & then surgery date--all in 3 wks. Good luck, say some prayers & it will happen. I am feeling wonderful..Luckily no problems during or after LapBand surgery. Pam-busdriver

I have BCBS PPO and it took about 2.5 weeks total, with surgery being at the 3 week out period. Good Luck! Robin

It took me about 2 weeks to get approved after I had all of the required information.

Well I think mine only took a total of 2 weeks after they got in all my paper work, but I bothered them everyday...lol....but it worked....Good luck....Common questions are welcome here and even the stupid ones,,,(I found that out),,,lol People here are very nice...and Dr. Kam is awesome....
