Scared, but not about the surgery
I'm more worried about the time off from work this is going to cost me. I don't get paid time off or vacation, so all of the days I have to take off for recovery are going to be negative in the pocketbook.
I'm curious to know how quickly/slowly people have recovered. I know each case is unique, but I plan to have it done laproscopicly (my date is May 30 by the way, super close!) and I've generally been a good healer.
Suggestions? Comments? Anyone want to pat me on the back, because this is a big accomplishment for me after 2 years of working toward getting a surgery date!

Tell me about your pain meds? What did they give you to help with the pain. I don't do well with any kind of Vicoden or anything like that and I usually end up using Motrin 600's or something like that, but I fear that won't be enough this time around. This is my first abdominal surgery. I took Vicoden for surgery on my upper arm about 6 years ago and all I can remember is troubled sleep and weird dreams.
