Barix in YPSILANTI

Anyone have Dr. Poplawski as their surgeon? If so... what do you think of him?

I did, and I can honestly say, I liked him from the moment I met him. Great vibes! I love everything about him! He knows his business and makes sure you know it too, throughly, diagrams and all. He's goes over what type of surgery would be best for you, from the start, no subject is taboo. He is also big on after care and encouraging you to have a therapist to find out the reason for our eating addiction. He asks you questions, and gives you time to ask yours and he makes sure every one gets answered too! Very much a "people person". He'll make sure you have all the information papers you need as well. He has a great bedside manner as well, he came to see me everyday I was in the hospital.

Didn't have Dr. Pop (I had Dr. Schram) but LOVED my entire Barix experience. I would say you are in very good hands. Maria

I didn't have Dr. Pop, but did have Dr. Kam at Barix -- totally loved him and the entire Barix staff -- I continue to receive GREAT care from them!

Debbie, I had Dr. Pop as well for my surgery. I think he was awesome! Very sensitive to all issues. Great bedside manner. Excellent sense of humor! Extremely knowledgeable. I hear he was into livers before bariatric. He definitely knows his stuff and like one of the other posts, makes sure you know it too. Also~to concur with another post, he encourages you to find out why you are overweight to begin with. I have had only positive experiences with him and the entire Barix staff. Deb
