Dr Wagner Hurley

Does any one have any experience with Dr Wager? I can schedule with Dr Wagner or wait for Dr Obeid to return. Talk about mixed emotions. I really like Dr Obeid and have not met Dr Wagner. I know that I can schedule sooner with Dr Wagner. This decision and I can have my date. This is truly amazing since a couple weeks ago I had to have my PCP revamp my charts since he did not take good notes. Thanks for any input. Jan

Jan: I do not know Dr. Wagner. I had Dr. Obeid, and just loved him. I had him for some complications I had too....and feel that the man saved my life. When is he expected back? Tracey

Tracey, The office said it could be a month or more. I do think since Dr Obeid is referring him he must be a good choice. I have heard that Dr Wagner is also very good. Jan

Dr. Obeid called me about a week or so ago and he said he will be back in a month or maybe two. He is having a hard time not being there for his patients. He can't wait to get back into doing what he loves, saving lives. Susan

Susan, Just talking to him last year when I started the process you could tell he was a very caring Dr. He loves what he does and cares for his patients. My dilema is if I wait too long it will be harder to take the work time off. Even though we have one going off on materinty leave sometime the end of May or first of June and one getting married the first week of August right now it is a slow enough time for the others to keep up if I'm off. If I put it off it will have to be after the term starts in September. I don't know that I want to wait that much longer. Right now I would get a June 18th date; the day after my 50th birthday. Dr. Farhan was my surgeon, assisted by Dr. Wagner. I didn't actually meet Dr. Wagner until AFTER my surgery. He did my aftercare while I was in the hospital, but that's the only time I ever saw him or met him. I would think that as great as Hurley is, Wagner wouldn't be a part of the team if he weren't equally fine. Sorry you are pressed for time and having to make such a tough decision. Hope all goes well for you!

Christina, My hardest decision was to have WLS. This one is more a matter of timing. I am sure Dr Wagner would not have been recommend if he were not a good surgeon. I will be calling Renee at Hurley tomorrow morning to confirm with Dr Wagner. They mentioned pre-op testing on the 23rd of May. Boy will this move fast now. Jan
