Hey Crystal, It can be many things. What are your symptoms? Nausea? feeling over full? or feeling like you can't keep food down? Are you feeling flu like symptoms? It really depends on what you are feeling. Could you elabarate?

You are more normal then you think. Your pouch is sensitive in the early stages. Chicken can be difficult for anyone in the begining. If you eat it, (I know this going against the gain, but) eat the dark meat. You are going to want your food to be as moist as possible for awhile. Many of us become lactose intolerant after wls, Some dairy bothers me some doesn't it's weird. I can drink milk, eat cheese, and yogart, but other dairies I can't ie sf ice cream. Some people just experience nausea for no apparent reason. I would say to try quesey pops or drops but I am not sure how much sugar they have in them. 2 of my daugters are pregnant and they both use them and they really help. I found them at meijer, Rite Aid has them also. Are you eating VERY slow? it should take you 15-30 min to eat.....yeah I know, it sounds ridiculous, but I know in the begining If I ate to fast I was in the bathroom throwing up. It took me a few hard lessons on chewing VERY well and eating VERY slowly before I got the hang of it. Just remember it WILL get better. Good Luck and If I can help anymore you can email me your number and I would be happy to call you. ---Toni

I have a few questions: you are about 4 weeks out right? Should be on what stage foods? I was on pureed foods at that time out- 4 weeks. So would you be eating the pureed foods suggested by your dietician? I could not be eating anything like chicken, tuna, beef at that point. It was puddings, ,jello, cottage cheese, pureed foods and broths still. Maybe mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, etc. The new pouch is that of a baby stomach. We start "re-training" at the first day we can introduce liquids into it. You wouldn't give a baby of 4 weeks old something like chicken breast, would you? Try puree or really soft foods and eat less more often. Hope this helps We all are different, and all have different surgeons, and our post op instructions all differ. Follow YOURS and what YOUR WLS planned. Stacey W
