Citracal Creamy Bites - Can you find them?

Most of the stores in the Big Rapids area aren't going to stock them anymore, even Walmart. I just called the company that makes Creamy Bites and they say that they've heard this from a lot of people. Evidently they're selling lots of Viactiv (which RNY patients can't take) and not much Creamy Bites. How is the supply in your area? I know I can get them off the internet but the price is higher and then I have to pay shipping. I'd love to be able to find them here in Michigan. I did get a couple of boxes at markdown prices at Walgreens so I have an extra month's supply. I might try to find some down in Southfield and just stock up while I'm there.

My doctor actaully has me using Viactiv. I have to chew one twice a day. Caramel is my favorite. Who said we aren't allowed to use Viactiv? Thanks

Viactiv is a waste of your money, gbp do not asorb calcium carbonate (at least not as well as) calcium citrate is what you should be taking. Maybe research it and take your findings to your doctor? Good luck!

The doctor told me that we can't absorb the calcium carbonate in Viactiv, that we need the calcium citrate in Citracal. I don't know what the difference is but I'm going to try to find out when I see the nutritionist in June.

Brenda, that would be great. A couple of boxes would hold me over until this summer. If they have the chocolate ones, I like them best but any flavor will do. I'll see you on Saturday. BTW, do we have a meeting place yet for all of us to get together.?

I will check CVS and Walgreens while I'm out tonight and let you know what I find. Maybe we could all just meet at the sign in/registration table first thing in the morning? I'll try to post what I'll be wearing before you guys leave on Friday so we can all find each other.

My doctor also has me taking the viactive. I take 3 a day! I know a lot of people have said we can't take them, but I don't understand why. All my labs have been coming back fine too... hmmmmm.. makes ya wonder.... OH.. I have never heard of the creamy bites, but I will be sure to check for them when I do go to the store.... Shawn M.

Walmart and Meijers in Coldwater still carry them, I buy 2 - 4 boxes at a time, I take 4 a day. Maybe that's why they're hard to find, we stock up! lol

My Walmart doesn't carry them anymore (they have tons of Viactiv) and Meijers never had them. I think I might be able to get my local drug store to order them but I bet the markup they put on it would be very high. I'll just get enough to keep me going for a while and then hit the stores in Grand Rapids and stock up.
