Surgery Scheduled & SHOCK from Dr!

Today I had an appointment with Dr. Pesta regarding my test results and removal of my gallbladder. Went to work this morning until I had to leave for Warren (about 2-1/2 hours or more from work). Stopped at home to change and much to my astonishment, there was a message on my answering machine from Dr. Pesta's office. So I called back, thinking they would tell me 'have to reschedule...dr had an emergency..." Was I floored when she said - Dr. wants to go over your results over the phone instead of having you drive down. OMG! Dr. Pesta knows that I live quite a distance away...how many doctors will call you to go over your results instead of having you travel a great distance?!? I WAS IN SHOCK!!! Top notch in my book! Anyways, based on my PCP's recommendation and Dr. Pesta's agreeing to that recommendation, I am schedule for surgery on June 5 in Warren to have my gallbladder taken out. Michelle

Wow, that's hard to believe. A doctor that will do a phone consultation instead of you having to pay for an office visit. Good luck with your surgery. I'll keep you in my prayers.
