OT I need your help!

First off I apologize for this not being wls related... I need some help finding a home for my mom's dog...My mom is leaving a abusive relationship and where she is staying she can not have her dog. I have her dog as of now but I can't keep her. I have a dog myself and my dog is being mean to our new house guest otherwise I would keep her. Eve is a 4 year old female black lab. She is an awesome dog! She is very mellow indoors and minds her manners. My husband and I have been taking her outside a lot she has been learning how to fetch and swim in our pool...she is discovering that she loves the water! She is very good with people and little ones. My cat is very fond of her and she is only been with us a few weeks! Eve is a healthy pure bred lab...all of her shots are current and up to date she is not spayed...she has had 2 litters of pups most of which were chocolate and all were healthy. I am so affraid to take her to the pound I dont know what would happen to her...she does not deserve to be put down. thank you! any advice would be much appreciated! Christine S.

Oh Jeez if I didn't have my S-sons dog I would take her in a heartbeat. I had to put my black lab to sleep last may he was 16 and I still miss him terribly. You may want to post photos of her on Petfinders.com I know lots of people look there for pets. I will put the word out at work this weekend. Christine, contact lab rescue there in Lansing. I'm sure they'll take her in and find her a good home. They might even have someone who can foster until your mom gets settled in and could take her back. I just found someone to foster a dog for a month while the owner is in a nursing home for rehab. She doesn't need to go to the pound or be put down. BTW, your dog is probably just showing her who's boss. They will probably work things out and be best friends in a few more days.
