As of today, I'm officially scheduled for surgery with Dr. Schram at Barix in Ypsilanti. July 9th will be the big day (had to fit it into a full time work schedule and evening classes to finish my degree). I go in for my pre-admission testing on the 25th or June... I guess the ball's really rolling now...

Wow - Sounds like you got alot goin on this summer! Congrats on the date. I am having Dr. Schram do my lap RNY on 6/4. Did he mention to you about losing weight before your surgery? I don't remember him saying anything to me about that.

Thanks everyone. It's so nice to have so much support from all of you! I'm anxious, nervous, excited... all the normal things, I guess... Belinda, Dr. Schram did tell me to lose as much weight as i could before surgery. I knew going into my consultation that my liver enzymes are up and if my liver is enlarged (it most likely is), it could get in the way for a laproscopic surgery (which is obviously what I'd prefer) and losing weight should help shrink my liver a bit, so i'm trying! I'm sure it's different for everyone...
