So how was it??????
I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
I learned a lot of facts about the surgery that I hadn't known. Dr Nunn gave us a lot of information and sounds like a fantastic surgeon.
I enjoyed Dr Sayeg's presentation. I didn't realize that Bariatric patients were more delicate to operate on than other people. I heard some people objected to the slides shown; but it only showed what is possible with all that extra skin we got in return for all the fat we lost. They can do wonderful work.
Dr Stettner had a lot to say. I have four pages of notes of what I need to do, from his session. After three years, I needed his reinforcement of what I can do for myself. I find myself sliding back into some of the thoughts and self-destructive habits I had before surgery. If he wasn't so far away, I would like to have some sessions to get my head on straight again.
Jeremy had a lot of health and fitness information for us.
Bo told us that we should figure out how many dollars we would be worth if we would exchange the pounds lost for the value of a pound of gold bouillion. I'm worth a million and a half. He was a great MC.
Amy told us her story and showed some pictures. What a gal!
To finish out the day; we heard from the founder of obesityhelp.com. What a story! He has worked so selflessly; and we have so much to be thankful that he has taken on this project to help us.
Our friend Kevin was there among all the rest of our friends. It was was so good to see and meet new friends.
The people from Canada would like to have a conference over there. Let us know when you have one. I'm sure a lot of us will come.
