Back To College

It seems that putting in my resume over 200 times, revamping it at least twice and going to Michigan Rehab hasn't helped with my getting a job, so I have decided to go back to college (for the umpteenth time) and to get my AGS degree by next May. Once you could get a job with just a high school diploma and common sense.  Those days are long gone, unless you want to work for Mickey D's.  Even now having an associate's may not be enough. So I started classes at Macomb yesterday.  I am taking College Survival Skills and The Film as Art (a humanities class).  When I finish classes by the end of June, I will only be 15 credits away from my degree.  I'm not gonna try to cram 15 credts into one semester to graduate this December.  I just want to take it one day at a time.

Keep at it girl, and you'll get there. Good luck with the job search and with school.  I know it's not easy, but you can do it! Brenda

I have been kicking around the idea of going back to college, and completing my Masters degree. Maybe youve given me some confidence to take on another challenge. Good luck in your studies

you go girl.  take it one step at a time.  I teach at Macomb CC part-time and Monroe CCC full time.  You would be surprised at how many of my students are older and start s new career.  Maybe, i'll see you on campus.  I am in the early childhood education department.
