NEW to OH...

Hello all.. My name is Jodi and I  have been doing some lurking on OH and just reading for a while, and thought it was time to share the starting of my journey.  I just got an appointment for a consultation with a surgeon TODAY!!  My appointment in June 8th, and I am inquiring the Lap Band.  I'm terrified!!  I see all the success stories on here and that is what's making me feel a little better about having this done.  I am ready to get something done.  I'm MISERABLE with myself and I need some help.  I will have a lot of questions to ask, so PLEASE bare with me, for I will have ALOT.  Thanks in advanced for all your support...   bye luv ya bye   Jodi :O) 

Hi Jodi!! Welcome!  I hope everyone is as kind and supportive to you as they have been to me. I couldn't have gotten through the whole approval process without OH.  Never be afraid to ask questions. Someone will almost always have an answer for you. Keep Posting!! Joni

Welcome Jodi!  ask all the questions you want,  we are all here to help get you through this.  You're going to go through a lot of emotions, but believe me, wls was the best thing i've ever done for myself.    We all deserve to live life to the fullest.   You can't imagine how your life will change.   Let me know if there's anything i can help you with. Hi Jodi,  Welcome to OH, I guess the best advice I can give, is to do your research. Your greatest weapon is knowledge, there is so much to know and understand. It will take time and effort but it is so worth it. I did alot of research....so I thought, Well I did do it, there is just so much more info out there now. Absorb all you can and it will only increase your chances for sucess.  Good luck with your consult. Take care---Toni

Welcome to the board Jodi.  We'll be here for you.  You might also want to check out the lap band forum.  They are very informative also.  We were all terrified going into this life changing surgery but as you can see, we all made it through to the loser's bench.  It's a very nice place to be.
