hernia repair

Any one had good luck with hernia repair

Although I never had one I hear people with great success. Is it internal? How far along are you? Did it slow you WL? I know small ones are worse that large ones. The people I know who have had them repaired generally feel mush better after they are repaired. Goo luck. Ahmed

My wls surgery was 4/04 It's an incisional hernia  - I had open.  First it was the bottom of my incision repaired with mesh 5/05 then it was the top of my incision mesh repaired 4/06.  It still sticks out.  It has never really hurt - just once in awhile is uncomfortable and I guess the biggest disappoint ment is it sticks out.  It didnt hurt my weight loss at all.  Lisa

That's good that it hasn't caused you any health concers. You still should have it taken care of though for your own peace of mind. It can become a health risk too so the sooner the better. They are routinely done so it isn't a big deal. Even Lap folks get them and they need to be repaired. Remember to look out for number one and keep an eye on your health.  Please see your doctor and take care of you. It's only logical, right? Ahmed
