Update on Father in law
Thanks to all that posted on my earlier message.
This is to let you know that he passed away on Tuesday at 3:30 pm. Family was at his bedside, it was a blessing that he did not suffer long. Was diagnosised on May 14th with the stage 4 colon cancer.
Hospice was here when he came home on Friday May 18, and they were absolutely wonderful. At first my sister in law didn't want to utilize the morphine and ativan. But as the time drew nearer, I explained to them how it would help to keep the pain and anxiety down. He was a devout follower of the Lord and believed so strongly in Jesus. My husband related to me how he could remember that he would get up early and do his scriptures before going to work when he was young. He was a peace and we all know that he is with the Lord. It made it so much easier for my Mother in law. She is so lost without him. They were married 58 years on May 14.
She will be going to assisted living next week here in Lubbock, where my brother in law lives. We have all gone with her to see them so that she can make the decision on which on she wants to go to. Has been hard for my husband but I feel that the memorial service will be the hardest, and that will be on June 9th.
Thanks again for all your support and he is doing very well with his diet.
We will be leaving on Sat to see my 2 daughters that live in Kansas and be home probably on Tuesday.
You all have a safe and wonderful Memorial day holiday.
