Hi Sherry, Breakfast shouldn't be a problem.  You have a lot of choices like Oatmeal (you can add protein to it), I have coffee with AnyWhen protein and a slice of toast with peanut butter, cereal Special K with 10 grams of protein, a poached egg on toast (add a oounce or two of meat ), grilled cheese (spray your bread with butter flavored Pam).  And on Saturdays I go out to breakfast with friend and splurge, I have whatever I feel like (within reason)  I always have enough food left over for another meal or two.  Also, try egg beater, scrambled or make a omlet.  Enjoy........... Hope this helped.......... Kathy A.

I start everyday with a protein shake and have since the week of my surgery. I eat six times a day in small amounts. RNY patients have to release protein and nutrients all day as if they had a pylorus valve. Otherwise we have insulin spikes. Ahmed

On June 4, I will be 8 months post- RNY.  To date, I have lost 110 pounds.  Sometimes I just can't do food in the morning but when I do, I will have a sausage patty with an egg and cheese.  I almost always put it on top of a slice of rye toast but end up pulling the toast out...fills me up too fast.  About half way through, I have to stop and wait 10 or 15 minutes for the food to start moving so I can fini****  It's cold by then and I just nuke it for a few seconds.  I know I am not eating enough throughout the day when my weight loss slows or stops.  I play with 3-5 pounds every week.  I buckle down and force in the meals 4 or 5 times a day and that will jump start the loss again.  I have to steer clear of the cereals and breads because when I eat them, I tend to put on those 3-5 pounds a week.  It seems like my system is really touchy with the carbs, but sometimes I want the crunchy texture..I love rice krispies but I usually eat it at night once a week or so.  It's a "treat" for me.  I hate oatmeal/hot cereals, and I seem to get all my protein in without having to add powders to anything.  I never use that stuff, it's just too gross.  I buy the EAS AdvantEdge shakes: 0g sugar, 1 carb, and 17g protein, and they taste pretty good.  When I snack, it is ALWAYS some kind of chewable protien, like a couple of ounces of turkey breast or chicken, a boiled Jumbo egg(the bigger the egg, the more protein in it...Jumbo has 8g I think). Keep up the good work, focus on getting enough fluids, and keep telling yourself that this will work itself out.  Your tummy will talk to you and you will learn what it is saying.  Good Luck! Congrats Kathy   110 lbs in 8 months, that's fantastic.  I am seven months out and have taken off 83lbs.  I would love it to be more but we're all different,  I am quite happy with my loss.
