OT: We're home

These 12 hour drives are just too hard on my skinny behind now.  I need to find a pillow that I can put in the seat if I ever do that again.  I also donated to the Michigan State Police.  He got me doing 69 in a 55.  I thought maybe I could talk him out of a ticket when he said "you have never had a ticket have you?"  My hopes brightened when I said No, not in 40 years of driving.  He said "well, I'm giving you one today".  Darn it.  I didn't mind the money $86 as much as the 3 points on my license when we just changed insurance companies.  We had a wonderful time.  I lost 5 pounds and I showed others how to eat well but healthy.   I am so glad to be back home!

Hey there Ann! Glad you had a great time!  Too bad about the ticket.  I actually got pulled over last week for doing 83 in a 70.  I was sooooo lucky, he let me go.  I thought for sure he was going to give me a ticket.   I was on the phone with my hubby and a I told him "Oh shoot, I have to go".  He said, "why?".  I told him because I was getting pulled over.  He didn't believe me!  Must have been my luck day.   Talk to you later... You can probably get the points taken off your license if you go to court.  You will still have to pay the fine, but at least the points will be gone.

The court is down in St. Joseph County.  Can I get them off if I admit responsibility with extenuating cir****tances (just getting off the freeway)?

I'll ask my husband, he's the attorney, lol.   He will be home in a few hours so I'll let you know.

Sorry I'm getting back to you today.  I had a late night last night singing.   You should go to court and explain to the judge that you have been a good driver for many years and you have never had any traffic violations until now.  You can tell them that you will     plead responsible for a 5 over limited access ticket.  This is a fine only no point ticket.  Hopefully the judge would accept that.  I don't see why he wouldn't.   Hope that helps

Thanks.  I'll think about it.  It's a pretty good ways to drive to go to court.  I might just take my chances and hope AAA doesn't check my driving record for a while.  I know the Sec. of State's office doesn't report tickets (unless they're DUI's) to the insurance company.  They only find out if they check your record each time you renew.
