Water/hydration
I remember from way back when i was first post op that in the summer we need more water since we dehydrate so much easier than normal ppl do. So how much more? I am in the sun all day and have been drinking 64 to96 ounces a day, but i'm getting dizzy and think i'm dehydrating. So how much more should i try to get in? Oh and by the way, i use the spf 45 sunblock and am roasted.

Hello and welcome,
I would provide water in relationship to relative humidity. Hot dry weather will dehydrate a bariatric person who is roasted quicker. To roast is not good. Head covering may be an option you will welcome in addition to a sunblock. Remember to take care of your eyes as they do poorly to excessive sun and damage will occur.
Your are thanked,
Ahmed
You're right, roasting sucks. I got an spf of 45 and still burn, it's weird. I usually burn the first time then it tans and i get dark. This year i'm staying red and sore. My arms did tan though, it's just my face and neck. I drunk over a hundred ounces of water yesterday and started feeling better. I haven't gotten dizzy today, thankfully it's not going to be so hot next week.
I wanted to wear a hat, but it's not allowed. Maybe i'll start going inside and hiding with all the lowes employees LOL .
Thanks for the advice
Linda
Thanks for replying Elisa. I bought the new crystal light hydration last night, it has electrolytes and b vitamins in it. It seems to have worked. The lemonade one is good, but pricey. But whatever it takes to stay healthy and stay out of the e.r.
You know, i should check my blood pressure, i didn't think of that. Last time i was at the doc it was slightly elevated, but we attributed that to the stress i was going through at the time.
