Keep your fingers crossed!!!
Thanks Theresa! The hardest part is just getting your buns out there. Once I'm going - I can just keep going. We do it for an hour. There has been a couple times where I've asked him if he wants to go a little further but he doesn't want to. I know, I go through spurts when I'm not on the board and then I can't get off. LOL!!! I'm glad you are walking as well. How's it going with the procedure you had? I was just thinking about you the other day - wondering how you were doing with that. I hope it has helped. I have increased my protein shakes and it makes a huge difference on how much food I consume. So far (knock on wood) my back feels decent. I guess I have to face that fact that I can not jump and run anymore. It is just way to hard on my back. OMG!!! Am I getting old????? Is that what this is??? LOL!!! Ok, I'm going to stop because I'm going to get depressed!
Take care - great to hear from you.
Carey
I'm doing pretty well after the procedure. I could really feel the restriction again the first 15 days, but then I had a bout with nausea (dumped bad!...worst I ever dumped since my WLS! Didn't think I could dump anymore!) and had to try to throw up, and after wretching like mad, all of a sudden I had a horrible, burning pain where my stoma is, almost felt like I may have "ripped" something loose or something...lasted about 5 minutes, but wow, that 5 minutes was scary!...I saw stars! Since then, I don't have much restriction anymore. I'm thinking I may have stretched out what he did by having to wretch like that. I do know that the procedure, 9 times out of 10, has to be re-treated two and sometimes three times to get it to stay. But at the beginning, it really was working well. I could only eat about a half cup of anything at a time! So I'm looking forward to going in again and having them scope me and look to see what happened, and if need be, do the sclero. again. Yes, I ate something I shouldn't have
, but I hadn't had anything sweet in a long time, and I didn't eat that much of it and figured it into my "daily allowance of calories", but wow, now I know what people mean when they said they "saw God"!! Sweating, dizzy, nausea, .....
. Awful! Never will do that again!
Anyway, that's me in a nutshell! You sure are inspiring to me, listening to how well you are doing with your exercise, etc. I love it, and I need the encouragement! Good for you!
You take it easy with that back! Walking fast is just as good as running. It's not worth it if you get injured. And NO, YOU ARE NOT OLD!!! Because if you are, then I must be REALLY OLD!!!
And I won't have any of that! :-)
Have a great weekend my friend! Miss all of you!
Hugs, Theresa
P.S. Please keep me in your prayers that I may keep myself on track! Thanks!

Whoa! I know you had to be absolutely miserable! Did that curb your craving to have anything sweet again?? I'm sure it did. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. How soon can you go back in to see what happened?
Well you know, I'm trying to go back to basics pretty much. I've worked so hard to get where I am at and I just don't ever want to go back. And I have to say, with the line of work I am now in - it helps get me motivated. I miss the good feeling I would have after working out. I want that feeling back. I can't think of anything else I can do without hurting myself.
I will definitely keep you in my prayers Theresa. It is the on going battle that we have to learn to live with.
You have a great weekend too!
