So my surgery date has crept up on me all stealth like, even though I was watching the pot boil! Seems like yesterday when this all began and now it's almost here. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. I'm mostly a lurker, but I lurk everyday. So I really appreciate everyone's posts as I've learned a lot from your experiences and thoughts. So thanks!

It's all good! Right before my surgery, I was thinking "BRING IT ON!!!!"  LOL!! You're about to start a new life. Believe in your decision & the possibilities surgery will bring you! Best wishes!
-Maggie- A "STUCK" episode is kinda like the big "O". If you have to ask, you probably didn't have one.

Just sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, chew, chew, and chew when it's time to. Take your vitamins, and get your protein in. Let yourself heal take it slow don't push yourself to hard. Remain optimistic :0) know you can and will get through the discouraging times. When you need help or advice ask for it. We are here for you. Best wishes. God bless, Annette

HeY- We the same surgery date.  This is going to be either the LONGEST or the SHORTEST weekend of our lives!!  Let's just try to relax and just mentally prepare for the road ahead.  Good luck.

Best wishes on your upcoming surgery...remember the first few days may suck but it only gets better.  be patient- the beginning stages with food etc may seem hard but you will get the swing of eating, drinking and taking your vitamins within 24 hrs.  I used to say "how on earth can i eat, drink and take my vitamins all in 24 hrs???" But like i said you get a routine down and it gets easier. Update us when you get home!!  I may be on tour but will try and check my messages on the tour bus :)  hha Shannon

Hi monarch and Belinda, Congrats on your new life journey's.  The best advice I can give you is to walk, walk and more walk especially why you are in the hospital.  The more you walk around, the better you will feel and sooner you will heal.  The different eating stages after surgery might feel like they take forever, but just remember the time passes very fast.  It's hard for me to reflect back on that time, being little over 3 years out.  Best of luck to the both of you! Cind, You from the BTC office (front desk)?  I just started looking at the forums on this board and this was only my second reply.  Thanks for your comment, I feel so much better now.  But lately, just been obsessing about my weight and losing a few more pounds.  Luckly, I haven't gained any back, just wanting to take off at least 5 pounds or more to be considered in the normal bmi range instead of overweight!  Also looking into having some plastic surgery in the next couple of years.  Over seas has been good, but I just can't wait to be back home. Hope all is well with you! Kerri
