Gave away my security???
Hey Everyone,
I had been keeping all my larger clothes (size 24-20); I don't really know why I was hanging on to them as I have before. My friend said why are you hanging on to them. I said I always had before out of fear, trepedation, and a sense of what if. She pointed out did you have surgery before; and were you as determined? I guess old habits die hard! I am now a size 16 and I love it. I never want to go back to the way things were. I am not just looking better; but feeling healthier than I have in years. I can actually do things now! I am however dealing with a lot of feelings in retrospect to my weight loss. You notice your not as invisible as you once were, people begin to treat you differently (some for the better others not); and the floods of feeling that sometimes wash over you without warning! Most of us never think about these issue's when we undertake our transformations. We are not just transforming our bodies, but our minds, souls; and yes at some points personalilty too. Just dealing with all of this can be a bit overwhelming at times.. Anyone else out there identify with any of this? And maybe it is good that I have been a slower loser; so the rest of me can catch up with the other weight loss parts.
So here's to the dawn of an ever developing self! Best wishes to all my fellow losers. Sometimes giving up a little security is worth it.. Judy R
I think we have all been where you are at one time or another. I had a hard time giving up my big clothes to. I went from a (very tight) size 32+ down to a size 6. I know I will never need the big clothes again, but I have this horrid fear of gaining back my weight. I think that's a part of what helps keep me on track. Life has changed so much. It seems like the further out I get the more it changes. This past week alone I had three different guys hold open doors for me. That never happened when I weighed 378 pounds. Life is good ~God has truely blessed me. Take care.
God bless,
Annette

I had a few favorite 3 X's and finally gave the last of them away a couple of months ago. I still wore the sweaters but they would wrap all the way around me and half again. I am now beginning to move from a size 12 to 10 but right now borrowing my husband's belt helps keep those pants up.

About 10 years ago, my husband and I went through a very tough time. I lost about 75lbs. Everyone treated me different, to be honest, I did not like being noticed. I felt unprotected, after living a life full of deep hurt, I was not ready to let go.
NOW! I can't wait to be a loser!!! GO AHEAD NOTICE ME...Those places I was so deeply hurt have been healed, God has done a good thing in my heart. I believe that is why I AM ready to live again...
By the way, I gained the 75lbs back and then some, oh well, it will come off soon, and will NOT come back again
