School's Out For The Summer

Wooooooo Hoooooooo  Today is the last day of school for my kids!!!! No more 6am alarm going off, no more dragging kids out of bed (for a while anyway), no more I can't find my other shoe, no more "Oh mom, I was supposed to bring to school today", no more fighting over the shower in the morning (five kids and ONE shower)  WHEW!!!!!!!!  Now the only problem I see is that MOST everything they own is packed for our move..... hmmmm, what to do with five kids for the next 26 days until we leave??????  Guess we'll drive 15 miles and go to Caseville Beach!!!!!!! Yup, we'll have to spend a lot of time there this month. (heeeheee) SUMMER"S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL....makes me glad I don't have kids.  But then, I always wish I had some kids when its time to do yardwork.

I don't have kids, but I'm a teacher and our last day is Friday.  Can't wait!  It's funny, but if I say that at school, the kids are like, "Hey, wait!  You aren't supposed to be looking forward to the end of the year!"  They don't believe me when I tell them that I would work all summer if it meant I was teaching. I think I would....I think....LOL.  No, seriously, I love teaching.   Have fun at the beach!

Hi Laurie, It's nice to see you posting...I was wondering where you were.   Every once in a while when I'm drinking my hot cocoa in the morning I think about you and your advice My kids aren't out until next week.  I used to LOVE summer vacation, because I switched schedules to work nights and we'd hang out all day.  This year, it just means more money for the babysitter. Hope you guys have a great time.....even though it sounds like you're living out of boxes!

Thanks - I usually hang out on the main board. We are having a great time already!! Boxes are OK to live out of for a while, but it will be good to get "settled" too. LOL  Looking forward to a great summer!!!
