BIG MISTAKE!!!!!

Ithought I was doing so good ..then last night I made split pea soup for supper ,and corn muffins for everyone else ..well I had about a 1/2 c. of soup and 1/2 muffin ...oh did I ever pay for THAT  I felt okay when I was eating it then anout 1/2 an hr after eating it I got real sick my tummy hurt so bad ..I walked around and everything ..I eneded up going to bed at 7:00 last night !!! so am thinking the corn muffin was to much for me ..today am not eating anything but my shakes !!! am almost afraid to eat !! hugs Sherry

That is all part of the process, Sherry.  Something can bother you one day and it is absolutely no problem on another day.  I know it is frustrating.  However, you will begin to develop patterns that will help you figure out when you can gamble on a food item and when you shouldn't.  Don't get frustrated! is it that some things are to heavy on the tummy or what  seems strange you can have somthing one day then the next bother you so much. hugs sherry

okay please don't take this the wrong way, i'm not trying to be mean.   You are one month out.    You should be only focusing on protein.   Maybe your nut is different than mine, but i was told to only focus on protein in the beginning.   yesterday you talked about eating mcdonalds, why did you do that?   today you're talking about eating a muffin, again, why?   Of course you're tummy hurt!    You are still healing and need to make good choices.    Right now you are going to lose no matter what, but why sabbotage your weight loss eating junk like this?   You want to succeed at this, you have to make good healthy choices.   stick with protein sherry, be determined.   I know how hard it is, but  you have to set your mind to the point that you can do it.   Tell me, how much protein are you getting right now?   How much water?  No matter what reason or excuse, focus on that first.    Make sure to carry snacks with you like nuts or jerky and always have a water bottle .    If you need some one to help you be accountable for what you're eating, let me know.    Or is you just need someone to help you with what to eat, let me know.   I don't want you to fail at this, and i don't want you getting sick from what you're eating.   email me anytime you need help. well in my own mind , I was THINKING PROTIEN when I was at mcdonalds..I really thought a hamberger w/ cheese ..was protien I didnt eat the bun , and for the 1/2 sm muffin well I guess I was exsperamenting on that ..I have not ate any bread products yet ..or cerials ..yes am a little confused about some foods like the split peas . I am determined to suceed at this , I am going back to my shakes and cottage cheese, yougarts .

I remember how hard it was the first few months after surgery I wanted to run for fast food . Yes at  Mc Donalds  you were thinking protein when ordering cheese burger but the big thing you forgot was the high fat.  Linda is so right we are here to help .Don't feel like were coming down hard on you ....But that we care for you & want the best for you .Like Linda said we would be glad to help you any way you need help!!!  God Bless sue

Please know Sherry that no one is attacking you. We just want to point you in the right direction. Did your program give you a guide on what you should and shouldn't eat? Yes, Protien first BUT not all protiens, carbs and calories are created equally. There are good and bad in all. Check out a website called www.sparkpeople.com It is an amazing site. It is NOT a wls site. It is for anyone trying to live a healthy lifestyle. You can track your food, nutrition, exercise and sooo much more. I wish I would have found it sooner. Anyway check it out. The sooner you learn the "right" way to eat the bigger the sucess you will be. Good Luck
