How to get in water?
I was told to stop drinking before meals to be sure my pouch was empty to allow me to eat my portion. After meals you need to wait to be sure that you don't act as a funnel and wash the food from your pouch before it has time to digest itself. If you drink too soon after meals you are more likely to get hungry sooner than you should.
Before meals, most say no liquids 1/2 hour before meals. Reason is that you'll be full on the water and not get enough food in you.
After meals, some say no liquids 1/2 hour some say one hour after meals. Reason is that you'll flush your food out of your pouch thus leaving you wanting to eat before your next meal.
So you basically drink ALL the time that is not already taken up with eatting or the before/after period!! lol Of course, that's also how you will get your walking in too - walking to the bathroom from drinking all day long. ROFL
Water gets easier with time!!! I struggled with it my first six months or so. I got 20 oz bottles of water and made a game out of it. One bottle between breakfast and lunch. One between lunch and dinner. One between dinner and bed. That got me 60 oz water, not quite what I was supposed to but pretty darn close and I did it every day!!
Now I drink about 100 oz per day without even keeping track of it really.
