O.T. Just rip my heart open

Wow that really got to me. I'm having my yard sale. An older woman came up with three little kids. They looked around and picked out the doll cradle, and a couple of small toys. After she paid I said thank you, and told her she just helped to support breast cancer research, treatment and awareness. She became really solemn and just looked at the children with her. Then in a whispered cracking voice she told me their mother just died from breast cancer. She also said she knows there is a reason for it, even if we don't understand it. This family really got to me. I have to get it together and stop crying here. I guess they are what it's all about. Had to get it out. Thanks for listening.

God bless,

Annette

well then Annette, make sure you bring the CASE of tissues on the 3 day.  From the opening ceremonies to the survivor celebration at closing ceremonies, you will be saddened and inspired by ALL the stories.  There is 3 days of them.  All mixed up in 60 miles and living in a tent city, showering in a semi truck, and meeting some of the most wonderful people you will ever meet.  Your life will never be the same after the event.  I hope you are doing well with training, if you are following the training schedule, tomorrow is 8 miles.  Yeah.   Take care, and let me know if you have any 3 day questions, of need any help.  I will be selling cookbooks, and if you are interested in selling them for your own profit, (for your 3-day account) let me know.  We ordered extra.  I am working in radiation oncology, and I get inspired every day by the courage it takes to battle this disease.   Hope all is well with you, and God Bless,     Carol

Really sad Annette.  I have a friend dying from cancer that spread from her breasts to her brain right now.  It is really hard as she has a family also.  God does have hard lessons for us sometimes.  It makes all this other nonsense seem so stupid.  Love is the only thing that lasts and more of us should be spreading that around. Thank you Wendy. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. It is so hard for the loved ones that lose their precious family member to such a terrible disease. I started a team to walk in the Michigan 3day in September. We are trying to raise $10,000.00 to help fund research, treatment, and awareness of breast cancer. That was/is the whole purpose of our yard sale. Sometimes it just really hits home when you see first hand what cancer leaves in its wake.  God bless you, Annette
