Okay if I have a small tiny bite of something do I have to still wait 45 min to drink my water? Or what? Not that I go around taking small bites of stuff all the time or anything but I have a couple of times and then I wanted to drink but still felt I should wait 45min! Also if you eat your protein do you have to wait 45min to eat a sugar free popsicle??? These may be stupid questions but they are legitamite!!!  Thanks  Jamie

A tiny small bite of something everyonceinawhile is called grazing. Don't do that. 2 hours between meals that stretch out for 45 minutes then water in 30 minutes after it has cleared. 3 minutes between bites. Chew like the kine of the meadow. kp

I wait 45 minutes no matter what I put in my mouth (there's an off color joke in there somewhere but I'm not touching it, lol).  I also wait on popsicles since they are liquid. I don't know if this is the right thing to do, but it works for me. No question is stupid :)

I think those are great questions. I do think we still need to wait 45 minutes before drinking anything even after a little nibble. I am really working on not having that little nibble. Those darn pretzels are getting me. I have been eating a 10 calorie sugar free popsicle after my lunch but don't wait the 45 minutes. I have been wondering if that was wrong. I am going to start waiting the 45 minutes.  Keep up the great work. Lynn

I don't believe your popsicle treat is a bad deal. That is a low cal way to stop a hankerin. kp

My NUT told me it's ok to eat a popsicle after eating a meal because there's not much liquid there.  You can also take a small sip of water if what you had to eat is very dry.  This will help it move on down instead of being stuck on the way.
