Introducing myself
Hi Marsha & Welcome.....
I remember when I had WLS, seemed like I knew of maybe 3-4 options and where I had it done, decided for me, plus my insurance played the deciding factor also.
Do your homework, find out what your insurance company would approve, what you need to have paperwork wise for them to approve it (alot of ins co's have different requirements) and then find out what the best possible type of WLS is right for you. I wanted lap band but because it was so new when I was going through the process, my INS wouldn't cover it. I ended up having open rny and I am so thankful I did.
With all surgery there are bumps in the road, and nothing ever goes perfect so please be sure to ask questions, and learn how everyone's post op life has differed. We all have a unique and marvelous story to tell.
Again, hello & welcome!
Stacey W
