Surgery Date!! So bummed.....

Dr Wagner is very good.  He assisted Dr Farhan on my surgery.  He did most of the post-op visits while in the hospital.  I also saw him twice in post-op visits to the office.  A wonderful man.  They always have two Doctors during the surgery. Start calling twice a week to see if they've had any cancellations yet.  Remind them that you are off work for the summer and that it's very important that you're back at work and in good health for the beginning of school.

I would have no qualms having Dr Wagner doing my surgery.

Will keep your problem in my prayers.

AHHH yes Waiting mode….It IS the pits isn’t it? =( 

 

I ran out of things to do on my things-to-do list after just a week. I think my kidlings started hiding their clothes so I couldn’t wash ‘em. My surgery was the first thing I thought about when I woke up, and the last as I was falling asleep.

 

 

But during those days I tried to practice things like chewing-chewing-chewing, eating slowly, and not drinking with my meals. I stocked up on the stuff I knew I would be using post op. I fantasized about how I would look and ordered tons of catalogs from normal clothing stores…(now that was fun!)

 

 

Probably the hardest and most time consuming thing I did was to write letters to all of my family (I left ‘em in a file on my computer just in case) …I never really feared that I would die, but I wanted to be sure there was nothing left unsaid to them.

 

 

…even this part of the journey is sooo worth it, and the best is yet to come.  So hang in there sweetie. God bless you.

  Hi Denise, So there is "hope on the cancellation list"!!!!  I also plan on writing those letters and leaving them.  I'm a single mom and my girls are 20 and 21.  They are with me 100%. I also have a TO DO list and will probably get it done ASAP - just incase - then have time again... I do alot of research on the internet and in books - so I am sure that will kill some of my time.  I have my pre-op kit already! 

I am VERY GRATEFUL for my surgery date!!!

Hey, Chick!  You did it!  You jumped all the hurdles and surmounted all the obstacles and you have a date!!  Yipeee for you!!!    Remember at the beginning of our journey how you thought you might have to be a self-pay?  And remember how you thought you might not have enough diet documentation, and remarkably everything just fell into place after you got both doc's records?  You were meant to have this surgery, girl!  You will have it in just the right time.  I'll be there for you every step of the way.  Chin up, Chico!  Use your positive visualization and watch what happens.  You are MIGHTY!   Hugs, Mary

Hey CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!, I am still waiting for a date.  My Dr. has had my chart for 11 days now and they keep telling me he just has to sign off on it, I even offered to mail him a new pen!!! I too was hoping for a July date, and now my schedule is quickly filling up with patients,and I am losing my PATIENCE.  I have been a lurker for awhile, couldn'y figure out how to navigate here.  I got some tips from Crystal today, so hopefully I can start joing in on the comraderie!
