Hi there friends,        On Feb 4, 07 day before my WLS , our daughter helped me measure myself. I put it aside in the drawer, and never thought about it until today. Today I found it and then I measured myself; and to my suprise I have lost a total of 35 inches overall! I have went from size 24 to 16. Although I have really been having problems with focasing just on the weight; now I see a bigger picture of inches too.. I have been looking puzzled into the mirror thinking I haven't truly been able to see me as others do.  I got a compliment today from a stranger while I was walking; I used to be content to be totally invisible, and I find it odd to be noticed. I am still getting on the scales serveral times a day; I am frustrated with this plateau I have been on for over 4 weeks. I get upset when the scale goes up and down by even a half a pound or so. I am exercising daily and feeling better than I have in ten years or more. I am getting off my meds. I should feel more sucessful than I do.. I am down 77 lbs since Dec of 06. I want to lose another 60 or so before my next birthday in march! I hope I make my goal. And then before the big 50 birthday I want my tummy tuck; and to be healthier, look and feel better than I have in ages. That will be worth celebrating~! Thanks for listening.. Hugs, Judy R

Congratulations. Losing inches is one of the best things. I liked that more than the pounds I think.

Hi Judy, Sounds like you have a plan for yourself and you ARE gonna get there.  You have done so well - just think - 77lbs - that is AMAZING.  Its not only about the weight but about how you feel.  Let that GOOD FEELING take you thru your plateau.  Inches mean alot too!!!!  Keep up the good work. YOU SHOULD REALLY CELEBRATE TODAY!! Cindy  :)

I agree, congrats to you on inches. I am only 2 months out  so I have been loosing more inches than pounds. But I am feeling healthier than I have in years. Lots of energy ( thanks to the protein shakes). I swear my body craves them..I bet the first one I had my body was dumbfounded. Didn't know what good nutrition was !! So be happy with the inches too. Cause the scales can be stingy some days..                                                                        Pam-busdriver

Thanks friends,     I want everyone to know how much your support & encouragement means! The fact that we are all here in this together gets us where we need to be! No one knows better how we all feel other than those of us who walk that mile in one anothers shoes. Hard as our spouses, family and friends try they can never say I know what you are going through.. May everyone one of you be blessed, for your kindness and support.. Hugs, Judy R
