Salute to the OLDIES!!!

HEY OLDIES, Those of us who are considered newbies - us pre-ops and new post-ops - sure do appreciate all the help we get from our  OLDIES!!!   Your positive (and negative too!) support is sometimes all we have to help us with this journey. You give us such good advice and pick us up when we are down. Tho is may seem like you are answering the same questions over and over and over again.....to each individual it is our first time... You are the PROS!! You make the DIFFERENCE!! AND may you NEVER forgef what it felt like to be fat, unhealthy and just plain old UNHAPPY with yourself.!!!   For our sake... Take care and bless you all... Cindy   :)

Thank you Cindy!   It means so much to me and i'm sure a lot of others just to make a difference even if only to help one person.   The whole reason  i do try to stay active and help is because i DO remember where i came from .    I fought long and hard to get where i am today and will be fighting the rest of my life to make sure that fat girl doesn't come back.    Hugs Linda

I agree with you both.  Actually I could go to the WLS graduates but I like this board because it gives me a variety of information.  I don't mind answering questions and I usually try to treat someone like I want to be treated.  Does this mean that I won't ever come across as harsh, probably not because I'm human.  I do try to remember how it was and I also learn from those ahead of me so I'm able to stay on track.  It's like having my support group every day 24/7 instead of once a month.

Yes they are and THANK you all....I have leaned on many of you for support and I can honestly say that I would not have been prepared enough without you...

Here Here! Sometimes newbies and pre ops have tons of fears and questions. This is the best place we can turn to. Truly even the doctors, and others don't have all the answers; or time to answer them all anyway. After all not many of the doctors have been through this surgery; and talking from experiance trumps all that!! I totally agree.. We need experianced wisdom to guide  us through all the experiances ahead of us.. You are appreciated for taking your time to be there.. THANKS, THANKS, THANKS, A MILLION THANKS.. Hugs, Judy R
