Moving to Detroit for Grad School
I have a friend that lives in Tampa and is a Principal (I think he still is anyway). He says the same thing. He said the first year he lived in Tampa felt like he was on vacation everyday. After that, he says it's just like living anywhere else. The change in seasons is what he misses most, too.
I'm glad someone was able to give you some info regarding support groups. I live a little over an hour outside of Detroit, but work about 15 minutes outside of Detroit (I'm a teacher.) So...again, welcome! Hope your transition to MI and school goes smoothly! Tina
