After surgery size changes

How quickly did you start dropping clothing sizes after surgery (feel free to answer in pounds and/or time)... I need a new swimsuit because my current one is about worn out and I can't decide whether it would make more sense to buy one a size smaller than my current size or if it will be a few months before i can expect to see my size changing (in which case i'll need a suit to fit me where i am now)...

I would go a size smaller.    It won't be long til you get into it.   You may even need smaller by the end of summer, depends on how much you lose and where at.   Linda

I had 20 pounds gone after the first 9 days (keep in mind that some of that weight was fluid weight from the IV).  After 3 months, I had dropped 50 pounds.   I started at a size 26-28 and I was wearing a size 14-16 3 months out of surgery just to give you an idea.

For the first 4-5 months I was dropping a size a month.  I would go a size smaller, it not two sizes.  They do give, so it might not hurt.  Suits are so expensive!

I lost weight very quickly....85 pounds in 3 months!  So I went down more than a size a month.  I'm almost two years out and not losing much...although I still have some to lose. ANYWAY, I just ordered some NEW suits off EBAY.  I paid $20 for one and $15 for another.  That included shipping.  These suits are new, with tags.  So you might want to check it out.  You could get a couple of suits.  I just searched women's swimsuits.  There were LOTS of them on EBAY!  Good luck!  Tina
